Rebranding with Intention - Designing What Matters

Rebranding with Intention - Designing What Matters

In 2025, the biggest change that is coming to Trader Bec's is a refocusing on the purpose behind this endeavor. For me this work is not purely transactional. When I look around this industry it seems it is primarily that for some, so this year I feel a need to mindfully differentiate myself, my craft, my marketing and draw closer to those with a similar passion...i.e. to truly help people create healing homes and spaces through intentional design.

For many years I have been employed "to make things pretty and functional" all while listening to my clients express the personal details of their lives, i.e. the things that are and are not working. Many designers will tell you that we are often "treated like therapists" as we get involved in evolving the intimate spaces of our client's lives.

As a designer for many years now "helping" my clients is the biggest honor. I see myself as a witness and a guide, more often than not I am there to encourage and uplift as well as create opportunity for positive changes in their environment.

When I reflect and analyze my life's decisions as it pertains to my career choices, I was personally drawn to creative work with the underlying motivation "to create change." To exact some bit of positive-control on my life and its immediate surroundings. To heal past wounds if I am being honest. With that in mind, in 2025, I am most looking forward utilizing Trader Bec's platform to guide you (my design clients and readers) on a healing journey that keeps intentional design-in-mind, all while being (for the first time publicly) my true and authentic self.

Thank you for being here!
